The 10 Minute Workout for the Busy Mama

I feel like the term “busy mama” is somewhat redundant. Don’t you? Like every single mom I know is busy so really all we should say is just mama. The busyness is totally implied.

I look around at my tribe, and every single person is doing 5 million different things and that’s just before 10a. It doesn’t matter to me if you stay at home, or you work, or you work from home, you’re busy. I know you are and I know that your busy most often involves taking care of all the people in YOUR tribe before you even think about doing anything for yourself.

That’s just how it goes as moms. Our maternal instinct drives us to ensure that the people we love around us are thriving before we give a shit about our needs.

Ultimately that means that working out gets shoved into the pockets of our day, along with showering and probably eating, and when we actually get the time to workout, a 30 minute workout is a luxury. Really you have like 10 minutes. At best. That will most likely be interrupted 6 times.

Hey I just call it like I see it which is from my own experience and listening to the community around me.

But girl, if I’ve learned nothing else a mama is a professional multitasker and the most efficient being on the fast of the planet. You can totally take advantage of 10 minutes, get a workout in and finish it feeling accomplished and proud of yourself because you gave yourself 10 minutes.
