Blueberry Mule

These are the things that happen when I go to test things out in my kitchen and I just end up coming up with ideas for cocktails. What can I say? When the mood calls for a cocktail, you make a cocktail!

i love mules

I'm not even really picky about what kind of mule I get. I feel like it's the ginger beer that really makes the mule. So why not try to switch it up a little bit? Like by adding in some local honey.

Then really all you have to do is make sure you muddle everything really well. Honestly I have yet to perfect the art of muddling...thank goodness there's always the opportunity to practice! But really after the muddling is done, it's just a matter of adding in all the other ingredients and making sure you mix it all up well!

blueberry mule

Prep time: 5 minutes

Serves: 1

1/4 cup blueberries

1 tblsp local honey

1 shot of vodka

8 oz ginger beer

squeeze of lime

I usually take my glass and toss it in the freezer for at least 30 minutes so it's nice and cold. Take it out, place the blueberries and the honey in the glass and muddle them together. Add in your shot of vodka and your ginger beer, shake with ice, squeeze in your lime and done! Time to enjoy!
